Guest WiFi – NFC
After seeing this video recommended by YouTube, it made me think if there was a cheaper DIY alternative. During my research of this potential project. I found that someone else had made a commercial product. On Amazon there are plenty of NFC Tags that I could purchase cheaply. Paired with the QR WiFi Login. It would make my life a bit easier when having people visit. I may implement this idea at work. Reading and seeing what else I can achieve from the videos below it gives another layer to the smart home project.
Here is the final product with the censored QR Code. I already tested and it works. The NFC Method does not show the WiFi password. The QR Method does show the WiFi password. The NFC Tags are waterproof and can last up to or over 10 years. I may replace my wireless routers before I replace these NFC tags. I am going to start incorporating these NFC and QR for business ventures. The sky is the limit.
