Dell R710 Server

After hearing how home routers were being exploited.  Plus, needing another project to learn about Virtual Machines.  I figured why not combine a few projects into one.  Purchased a Dell R710 Server that has 48GB of ECC RAM and 2x6core processors.  It was far more for the job I had on mind with room to grow.  I installed x2 2TB Spare Hard Drives and setup a RAID to see if the server was working in case I needed to return it.

I will detail which VM Solution I picked in another post but here were what I initially had in mind for this server:

• Firewall
• VM to learn more about Server 2016 such as DHCP, DNS, AD, and etc
• with room for expansion in the future
