Steam Deck OLED

Finally received my new Steam Deck OLED handheld. Been keeping up with the latest developments. The new gaming handhelds are actual computers. Not much different from a regular laptop for portability. The main draw for me was a few items such as portability, opensource, pc equivalent of a Nintendo Switch, emulation, use it as a desktop when docked, and the repair-ability (Valve partnered with ifixit for parts and repairs for long term support).

Decided to use empty my work Bonusly points and redeemed them for Amazon Gift cards close to $450 dollars. Purchased a 2TB NVME 2230, better case, docking station, matte screen protector and extra battery. Still had had extra cash for upcoming Christmas Gifts. I added emulators, Steam games, GoG, Ubisoft, EA and even loaded Battlenet. Been setting up the desktop mode as my back up laptop. This unit will come in handy when I travel to other offices, after work, game during flight. The more I work with Linux the more I am wanting to learn and possibly chase after a Linux Certification.
