Beryl AX – Travel Router
Recently discovered mini travel routers. Found it interesting that many who go on travels such as boat Cruises. Use this device to get around the Cruise’s pay per device for WiFi access. Read many reviews on how many travelers use this to connect all their devices and pay for one device. I think its genius. I am very familiar with residential and enterprise wireless devices.
Currently, at my job they send us out to to travel and visit their offices nationwide. We have VPN access to use our internal services. This would be good to have next time I travel. I am awaiting my Steamdeck oled to arrive. To take along with my work laptop on the next work trip. I could use this travel router for when I am resting at the hotel or during my lunch. I had already setup this device up as a Wireguard VPN Client to connect to my home network. In case I need to access my home network on the go. Or use it for my next personal trip and access my home network.
This travel router is the Beryl AX router. Has the following:
- Dual Core CPU
- 512 DDR4
- OpenWRT as the heart of the Operating System but with a better GUI
- AX Wireless 6 speed
- Setup as VPN server or Client for Openvpn or Wireguard
